Tussock Hill Vineyard Premium Pinot Noir 2017, Canterbury NZ
Medium cherry red coloured wine, lighter at the rim with a faint haze. The nose is quite subtle with a hint of earth, savoury oak & red berry aromas predominant. The palate is beautifully balanced, with a nice raspberry acidity & red berry fruit flavours, while the structure has fine tannins, medium weight and lovely dry finish. Elegant! This was the last vintage by Robin, the original owner of Tussock Hill, his previous vintages always impressed me – the vineyard is in a beautiful spot on the Port Hills overlooking Christchurch and beyond to the Canterbury plains – I’m Look forward to keeping up with the new owners’ future releases as they now have vineyards in Waipara too.
RRP:$35.00 buy online at: https://tussockhill.co.nz
