Mahi featured as our NZ Wine Website of the Week last year and earlier this year I had reviewed Brian’s 2 new release Marlborough 2011, and Boundary Farm 2010 Sauvignon Blancs so it’s great to be able to see what he can do with these two wonderful aromatic grape varieties.

Mahi Twin Valleys Vineyard Gewurztraminer 2010
In the glass a lovely straw / yellow colour with floral and spice notes on the nose, rich concentrated fruit and nice acidity on the palate with more spice & turkish delight, complex, textured with a long dry spicy finish.. Was actually quite a good match with our Indian Curry take out last night… RRP $24.00

Mahi Ward Farm Pinot Gris 2011
Bright straw / gold coloured with stone-fruit & pears in the nose, creamy, textural with lovely weight on the palate with a nice mineral backbone and great depth of flavour with peaches, pears, sweet honey and spice leading into a long luscious finish. RRP $29.00
