Mud House announces partnership with Marlborough Sounds Kaipupu Point.

Mud House has joined forces with Kaipupu Point Wildlife Sanctuary as a Rimu sponsor.

The Sanctuary is located within Marlborough’s Queen Charlotte Sound on land co-owned by DOC and Port Marlborough. The past seven years has seen dedication from volunteers and community groups which have resulted in a 2.5km walking track, jetty for boat access and an abundance of native wildlife returning to the Sanctuary.

The Rimu partnership with Mud House is a three year commitment, which will support ongoing track maintenance, pest monitoring and native plantings. Mud House is also supporting fundraising efforts, through donation of their wines to various Kaipupu Point events.

Mud House look forward to utilising the fantastic site, through encouraging staff and family visitation, as well as hosting various guests at the Sanctuary.

“We like to host with a difference, ensuring our guests leave with a lasting impression of the fantastic region we live in and wine we produce. Kaipupu Point, a local wildlife sanctuary that looks out over the stunning Marlborough Sounds, adds a great point of difference when hosting our inbound visitors”, Mud House Marketing and Sales Mananger, Jack Glover said.

The Sanctuary has been open to the public since March 2013. Mud House first became involved with Kaipupu Point Sanctuary by sponsoring the Kaipupu Point ‘Pestival’ bar and donating wine, with all profits going back to the Sanctuary.

Chair of the Kaipupu Point Committee, Barry Maister is thrilled to have Mud House on board as a sponsor. “We have a great vision for the Kaipupu Point Sanctuary. Mud House is one of several key sponsors who will help us to progress to the next stage with the Sanctuary”, Barry said.

Mud House will be organising a Kaipupu Point tour for local media next month, where a short tour up to the stunning lookout point from the Sanctuary will be followed by a Mud House wine tasting, matched with local seafood on the jetty.
