An exciting new trophy has been added to this year’s program at the International Cool Climate Wine Show – Best New Zealand Wine.  The trophy is a nod to the continued support NZ winemakers have shown the International Cool Climate Wine Show (ICCWS) in recent years, and will be awarded to the Best New Zealand Wine in Show that is made in NZ from grapes grown in NZ.

Another exciting development for the show is that the ICCWS has partnered with the Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria (RASV), home of the Royal Melbourne Wine Awards, to facilitate a new simple-to-use online entry system that has streamlined and simplified the entry process for our exhibitors.

Through this partnership, entrants to the ICCWS will receive their exhibit scores displayed on distribution graphs (where there is sufficient data to do so) enabling Exhibitors to see how their wines rank against those of their peers – we are one of only a handful of wine shows doing this.

A further opportunity for entrants is the 2019 ICCWS Dinner at RACV City Club (Melbourne) on June 27 where a selection of ‘top-gold’ and Trophy-winning wines will be featured.  This event will be co-promoted by the RACV to its more than 2 million members; an extensive list that includes winemakers, buyers, restaurateurs, sommeliers and of course the wine-loving public.
