Greystone Wines – NZ Wine Website of the Week –

Recently described by Decanter magazine as one of the top 20 producers in New Zealand, the Greystone Vineyard is situated in the Waipara Valley, an hour north of Christchurch on the South Island of New Zealand. Their wines are 100% estate grown and the Greystone team have an affinity & connection with the land that produces their wines, and the people who drink them.

The team at Greystone realise that they are the caretakers for land they need to derive an income from, but also feel they have a responsibility to increase its biodiversity and recolonise the landscape with native plantings.

While it is important to treat the environment with respect, treating each other with respect also produces better wine. They are a small team but with a “big vision” producing award winning Riesling, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Syrah under the Greystone brand and also Limestone Creek Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir…
