Sabrage and Showbiz

Fancy a night in Wellington with SABRAGE AND SHOWBIZ Food, Wine and Good Company? For one exclusive night meet the couple behind the No1 Family Estate in Marlborough, Daniel & Adele Le Brun and special guests Bruce and Joanne Kerner from Kerner Estate, Marlborough.

World renowned and New Zealand Methode Traditionelle specialist, Daniel uses the same traditions set over 12 generations of Le Brun winemakers in Champagne, France. Sabrage is the technique of opening a bottle of Champagne using a saber. Legend has it, as Napoleon and his troops returned home victorious from battle, the townspeople handed them bottles of Champagne to show their gratitude and because they were mounted on horseback, they used their sabers. Witness first hand the art of Sabrage and taste true limited edition Methode Traditionelle.

Joining the evening will be the Kerners with their ex Hollywood producing flair and award winning wines which capture the fresh, vibrant fruit of the Marlborough region.

Compliment these fine wines with Orongo Bay oysters and a range of eclectic fusion food matches created by Jacinta Saeki proprietor of Encore Restaurant. Jacinta has worked as a chef within the international diplomatic community, her 25 years of culinary experience produces remarkable flavours influenced by eclecticism.

This sparkling evening, set on Wellington’s Waterfront in the iconic Circa Theatre, is an event not to be missed. Sabrage and Showbiz – book yourself in for a night to remember.
