Te Pa Family Vineyards Launch Pa Road Sparkling Rosé

Award-winning Marlborough producer, te Pa Family Vineyards, has launched its inaugural sparkling wine, the 2017 Pa Road Sparkling Rosé, coinciding with the first ever Sip NZ Bubbles Day of celebrations on Friday 20th October 2017.

The new limited edition 2017 Pa Road Sparkling Rosé was crafted with fruit parcels from premium Marlborough vineyards, and will be available in key retail and grocery stores across New Zealand in the coming weeks.

Sip NZ Bubbles is a campaign that encourages people to enjoy New Zealand made sparkling wines, and also coincides with International Champagne Day.

Haysley MacDonald, the owner and director of te Pa, says that the release of the Sparkling Rosé marks an exciting new milestone for the business.

“We’ve always wanted to make a sparkling wine, and with the incredible growth in global demand for Rosé, we saw a really exciting opportunity to create a beautiful sparkling wine at a great price point, that would be right at home in Kiwis’ houses and baches this summer. Popping open a bottle of bubbles always marks a celebration, so the team and I are stoked to present our first sparkling wine to New Zealand and we hope that it will be part of many happy and celebratory moments.”

te Pa’s winemakers Liam McElhinney and Sam Bennett say that the Sparkling Rosé delivers a crisp, refreshing, and aromatic wine experience. It is a lovely pale salmon/coral pink colour with great depth of flavour. Wild strawberries, raspberries and florals, are supported by citrus and a spice. The wine offers exceptional value at RRP$19.99.

The release of the new wine comes on the back of some major industry wins for the te Pa team, with its 2016 te Pa Sauvignon Blanc Oke and its 2017 te Pa? Sauvignon Blanc taking out the Number One and Number Two spots respectively in Dish Magazine’s annual Sauvignon Blanc tasting panel. The 2017 Sauvignon Blanc was also named one of Dish Magazine’s ‘Best Buy’ wines, which covers wines that retail for $20 or less, and are awarded 5 stars and Gold Medal status.

Earlier in the year, te Pa’s 2016 Chardonnay was named the Number Two Chardonnay in New Zealand by Cuisine Magazine, and from November, te Pa’s Sauvignon Blanc will be poured in Air New Zealand’s Business Class.

The Pa Road range of wines is available in Liquorland, Fresh Choice, New World, Pak n Save and good liquor retail stores, nationwide. te Pa welcomes customers to get in touch directly if they need a hand to find local stockists.
