O:TU Single Vineyard 2015: Double Gold Winner at San Francisco International Wine Competition 2016

The world famous San Francisco International Wine Competition 2016 has chosen their new favourite Marlborough white – O:TU Single Vineyard Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2015 has been awarded a Double Gold.

This bottle has been crafted with fruit from the Dysarts block, one of the best blocks from Otuwhero Estates. Careful measures have been taken to retain the unique flavour.

As a result, O:TU Single Vineyard 2015 is a full bodied Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc which builds up and ends on a long, fine and appetising mineral finish.

Bursting of aromas of floral, ripe apples and passion fruit and flavours of white peach, honey melon, underpinned by light exotic characteristics, ripe greens, gooseberry, currants and flinty minerals

O:TU Single Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc 2015 will age gracefully over the next four to six years, with a more colourful expression emerging.

Another O:TU bottle has also been awarded by San Francisco International Wine Competition. The newly bottled O:TU ‘Classic’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2016 has been awarded a Bronze medal, a significant recognition of this young wine, which, if given some time, will emerge with even richer palate and expression of our vineyard in its very location.
