Spy Valley Gewurztraminer 2015

Grapes from the Waihopai Valley in Marlborough were picked slowly pressed and slow fermented in stainless and a small portion in old oak with 8 months on lees before blending and bottling.

Colour:
Bright and clear straw / lemon coloured in the glass.

Nose:
Some pretty soft florals and spice with turkish delight and a hint of something savoury that I couldn’t put my finger on – oak maybe?.

Palate:
Intense tropical fruit & spice on the palate, nice acidity, off dry, textured, full flavoured and mouth filling.

Great food wine – Thai curry? Still needs a bit of time but delicious already!
