Winetopia 2018 – The Greatest Celebration of New Zealand Wine is back for another extraordinary year! Journey deeper into the uncorked world of New Zealand wine, tasting delicious drops from 60 impressive wineries throughout our iconic wine regions. Unearth your favourites from the likes of Craggy Range, Mt Difficulty, Vavasour, Greywacke, and Man O’ War in Auckland, and Quartz Reef, Urlar, Kumeu River and Te Kairanga in Wellington; taking home your favourite selections to sip, swirl and savour.
Winetopia presented by Singapore Airlines is your opportunity to get under the skin of the New Zealand grape scene and discover the colourful personalities that have made this country’s wine their life’s work. In this paradise for wine obsessives, there’s ideal opportunities to explore numerous regions and styles, try hundreds of lovingly crafted wines, meet the makers across all regions of New Zealand and ‘share a glass’ with some famous faces. Plus pair your sumptuous wines with delicious food offerings from a selection of award winning artisans, all washed down with sultry live entertainment.
This year Auckland sees the return of NZ Master of Wine Bob Campbell and an exciting NEW addition to the Winetopia family, Australia’s distinctive voice in wine Mike Bennie. Whilst Wellington welcomes Australian wine expert Nick Stock for the first time, and sees a return of homeboy favourite Master of Wine Stephen Wong. These fascinating wine gurus will be sharing their vast knowledge from all corners of the wine world with free talks and 45-minute tasting seminars to enlighten, entertain and enhance your love of great wine. Tickets to Masterclasses are only an extra $20 including complimentary tastings of a number of premium wines.
Once again we are excited to welcome Spiegelau to this year’s event, and give you the opportunity to experience first-hand how the right glass can enrich your wine tasting experience. Each visitor will receive a Spiegelau glass on arrival, allowing you to enhance both the taste and aroma of the wines you will be tasting throughout the session.
