Aotearoa Organic ‘Library Stock’ Wine Awards Announced – Call for Entries

Announcing the 2016 & 2017 Library Stock Aotearoa Organic Wine Awards – Back by popular demand, The Library Stock Wine Awards by The Aotearoa Organic Wine Awards returns! Now a biennial competition.

Now entering our fourth iteration, the Library Stock award for 2022, are this time evaluating how the 2016 and 2017 (5/6yr) vintages have fared. This event will be marketed as the Aotearoa Library Stock Wine Awards. The Awards are one of a kind in New Zealand and I have fielded multiple queries recently regarding their return.  Due to a number or factors, we have decided to host this competition every other year, allowing entries across two vintages.

Once again, we reserve this show for organic wineries only. The caveat is that the wine judged does not need to be certified organic. only that the current release of the same wine is. For example if you have a 2016 wine that was not yet in conversion, or certified organic, although the 2022 release of the same wine is certified- then you are eligible to enter.

I continue to believe there is a huge potential in evaluating vintage wine as a tool to encourage potential purchasers of current vintage wine to ‘stock up and cellar’.

As always with the Aotearoa Organic Wine Awards, there is no entry fee, and all judging, administration, and marketing materials are provided without charge.

We’d love to have your wine included, please find a link to the Entry Page and also results from the 2020 awards.

Deadline for samples to be received is the 11th November.
