Featured Wine Review – Seifried Estate from Nelson

The Seifried family have been pouring heart and soul into every bottle since 1973, when Hermann and Agnes grafted, planted and tended the first grapes in the Nelson region, raising their three children amongst the vines.

Today, they remain a family estate winery. They grow it. They harvest it. They make it. And they take meticulous care with each step, from soil to bottle, for the love of family and good wine.

As their business flourished, the Seifried family also grew. The Seifried children were often found sleeping beneath the vines as Hermann and Agnes worked. Heidi, Chris and Anna developed a deep connection to the vineyard from a young age. Today, all three children play integral roles in the family business, their early vineyard experiences sparking a lifelong passion.
