NZ Organic Wine Awards ‘Riedel Wine of the Show’
Domaine Thomson Surveyor Thomson Pinot Noir 2015
A bold, powerful Otago Pinot Noir, complex on the nose and the palate, ripe stonefruit, spice and toasty oak. Beautiful now, but further develop over the next 6-7 years. This wine impressed all of our judge’s as our standout wine for 2019.
NZ Organic Wine Awards ‘Vintec Sustainable Vineyard of the Year’
Carrick
Our panel was impressed with the ongoing initiatives introduced at Carrick over the past year. This includes a native planting scheme with the goal of introducing Tui back to the region, as well as furthering there kitchen garden and carpooling schemes.
NZ Organic Wine Awards ‘Riedel Vineyard of the Year’
The Darling Wines
The Darling Wines were the recipient of this accolade it its inaugural year back in 2015. Due to consistently high quality wine making and a fastidious dedication to organic production, they become the first winery to repeat the accolade of ‘Riedel Winery of the Year’ and will have the ‘Riedel Decanter Trophy’ to prove it.
