Tickets to the 10th annual Winetopia 2025 Auckland event have just gone on sale, representing a decade of bringing the best of the New Zealand Wine scene to the city. Established in 2016, the event aims to make wine fun and approachable.

Winetopia Founder and Event Director Rob Eliott says, “We wanted to take the serious wines usually found in more exclusive trade tastings and put them into an environment which was fun and uplifting.” With plenty of talks and tastings throughout the event attendees often find themselves learning more than what they had bargained for. “We like to find ways to entertain people, but make sure they have deepened their wine knowledge by the end”.

More than 80,000 attendees have been through Winetopia events which have also taken place in Wellington and Christchurch.

THE WINERIES

There are over 50 premium wineries from all over New Zealand, serving all varietals and more than 250 wines open for tasting.

GOLDEN COIN WINES

There’s an opportunity to taste $100+ bottles of wine. Leading wineries will have their most prized possessions along with them – award-winning, palate pleasing, cellar-worthy bottles.

These are some of the most famous wines produced in New Zealand achieving 96+ points in respected reviews and they hardly ever get opened for sale by the glass. However by picking up some Golden Coins you can try tastes of these celebrated wines and vintages right at Winetopia.

POPUP EATERIES & ARTISANS

Restaurants and artisans offering their delicious dishes at the event to complement the wines. Delicious morsels to eat are peppered through Winetopia like a fantasy tasting trail.

From artisan producers sampling their treats, to chefs staging unique pop-up eateries, they’re growing the Winetopia edible line-up to satisfy the most adventurous of foodie cravings!

Masterclasses – Ten Years Young Masterclass

Ten Years Young Masterclasses featuring aged wines from Winetopia’s first year, 2016. A lot can happen in ten years. To prove it each session of Winetopia will feature a Masterclass where we taste and explore some very special wines that have been cellared since 2016 – the year of the first Winetopia Auckland event.

Tickets to this masterclass are limited and either available to purchase alongside entry tickets, or via the special 10 Year Young Prize Pool. They will announce the wines to be tasted soon.

There’s a major pool of giveaways throughout the promotional campaign to celebrate the ten-year anniversary. It’s Winetopia Auckland’s 10th Anniversary, and they’re giving away the presents!
