Entries are OPEN for the 2025 Aotearoa Regional Wine Awards – This is your opportunity to showcase your finest wines and connect with more than 80,000 Show attendees. Winners will be able to proudly display their medals on their winning varietals, as well as be showcased by our partners Hospitality NZ and online retailer Advintage.
Through our partnership with Chance Voight, the competition will be promoted on social media for four weeks before the competition. Following the event, winners will receive a two-week promotional spotlight across our social media platforms.

Two Categories To Enter:
The Aotearoa Regional Wine Awards (ARWA) where you can win Best in Class, Gold, Silver and Bronze medals. Medals are awarded on varietal success like a traditional wine competition and any New Zealand wine can enter this competition.
The Regional Champion Competition (RCC) is where you can win our unique regional wine medals. An additional optional category in the competition, the requirement to enter this category is that your wine must be produced with at least 85% of grapes from a single New Zealand region.
23rd Awards Bigger & Better
We are bringing a new format to the 23rd Aotearoa Regional Wine Awards, moving away from a private event to provide full public access at the Royal A&P Show of New Zealand. The Canterbury A&P Show regains this Royal status for the first time in over a decade.
The Chance Voight Aotearoa Regional Wine Awards Marquee will occupy a prime position on Deans Avenue, surrounded by high-profile exhibitors and feature sites, over the three days of the Show.
Judging will be held over the first two days with finalists announced on Saturday.
