On Thursday I had the pleasure of attending (for the second time) an evening presented by Dan from Wet Jacket & hosted by Jenna and her team at The Hour Glass in New Plymouth.
Dan provided 6 new wines from both the Wet Jacket and Putangi labels, all matched with delicious bites from Jenna’s kitchen, lots of information, tasting, chatting, laughs and a few prizes up for grabs at the end of the evening too.
Dan, a most knowledgeable and entertaining presenter, led a very interested group of about 30 attendees through tasting the wines, intertwined with the stories and history surrounding the Wet Jacket brand, and the Putangi Conservation fundraiser, for Doubtful Sound and Milford Sound habitat and endangered species conservation.
You can read more in detail about the history, the stories and Greg’s vision for Wet Jacket Wines on the website – you can also buy and try the wines for yourself here. https://www.wetjacket.nz/
Here’s a little photo montage of the most recent evening for you to drool over!
