Greystone Wines has a new distribution partner, Red + White Cellar, in New Zealand starting the 1st of September 2021.
Red + White will be offering full-service distribution to all sectors of the licensed trade in New Zealand, from restaurants to retail, with its strong, knowledgeable sales force covering the entire country.
Nik Mavromatis, Greystone Sales and Marketing Manager said “Our 2021 vintage had amazing fruit, but we were down by over two-thirds in volume due to frost and drought. This meant we had to make changes to our distribution across the world to manage our sales in a sustainable way.”
“We know Red + White Cellar understand the challenges of growing organic wine in North Canterbury plus their South Island Sales Manager, Brad Nolan, used to make wine with us so we’re already very closely aligned. We’re sad to say goodbye to the team at Procure as they’ve been great partners as we grew. But now we’re looking forward to having both vineyards with the same team and being able to offer consistent nationwide delivery.”
Blair Duncan, managing director of Red + White writes “We’re excited to bring Greystone into our portfolio. We’ve represented Muddy Water in the New Zealand market for seven years and having them both together in our portfolio is a no-brainer. Combined, Greystone and Muddy Water cover the full range of varieties and styles and are producing the best and most interesting wine in North Canterbury.”
“It’s an exciting time for Red+White Cellar. Alongside Greystone we are adding a further seven wineries new to the portfolio including the world-renowned Mosel producer; Dr Loosen and two Pinot Noir specialist producers from opposite sides of the world; J Christopher from Oregon and High Garden from Gibbston in Central Otago.”
Greystone Wines was founded in 2004 on the limestone and clay hills of Omihi, North Canterbury by the Thomas family. Since then, they have twice been awarded Decanter trophy for best Pinot Noir as well as NZ Organic Winery of the Year, Gourmet Traveller Winemaker of the Year, Winestate Winemaker of the Year, Air New Zealand trophies for both Riesling and Pinot Noir, twice selected for Fine Wines of NZ classification and many more accolades for their single vineyard organic wines.
