Misha’s Vineyard Wines has announced the sale of its 57-hectare Bendigo vineyard property, marking an important new phase for the acclaimed Central Otago wine producer while ensuring continuity of wine production through a multi-year grape supply agreement.
The transaction enables Misha’s Vineyard Wines to further strengthen its focus on what it does best — crafting and marketing premium Central Otago wines enjoyed in 16 markets around the world — while continuing to source fruit from the Bendigo vineyard that has been at the heart of the company’s wines since its inception. Under the terms of the agreement, Misha’s Vineyard Wines will continue to receive grapes from the vineyard under a multi-year supply arrangement, providing certainty and continuity for customers, distributors and wine club members.

“This is a positive and strategic step for our business,” said Andy Wilkinson, Co-founder and Director of Misha’s Vineyard Wines. “Our focus has always been on producing exceptional wines and building our brand in markets around the world. This transaction allows us to continue doing exactly that, while working alongside experienced wine industry owners who share our commitment to quality and the long-term future of the vineyard.”
The Bendigo vineyard, located in the heart of Central Otago, has been integral to Misha’s Vineyard Wines’ award-winning portfolio and reputation for producing premium Pinot Noir and aromatic white wines.
The acquisition represents a significant investment in Central Otago and reflects confidence in the future of New Zealand’s premium wine sector. “We are delighted with the outcome and have every confidence in the new owners as custodians of the vineyard” said Andy. “Their experience in producing premium New Zealand wines and commitment to quality gives us confidence that the vineyard will continue to thrive for many years to come.”
For customers and trade partners, the announcement represents business as usual. Misha’s Vineyard Wines will continue operating independently, producing and marketing its wines under the Misha’s Vineyard brand and maintaining its relationships with customers and distribution partners around the world.
“The vineyard has always been an important part of our story, and that story continues” Andy said. “As we celebrate our 20th vintage, our customers can look forward to the same wines, the same commitment to quality, and the same passion that has defined Misha’s Vineyard Wines from the beginning.”
