JDV, Joy de Vivre Wines Summer Rosé 2020 Hawke’s Bay NZ
This Merlot predominant wine is medium pink in colour with copper hues, bright & clear. Aromas of ripe apples, stone-fruit, sweet berries and a whiff of spice in the nose. A vibrant berry-fruit flavoured palate with a grape-fruity citrus acidity – crisp, juicy, long concentrated finish. Gorgeous art on the bottle capturing the essence of summer, although we don’t have humming birds in NZ – Thoroughly recommend you try this – don’t over chill it – let the aromas & flavours escape! RRP:$25.00

Dancing Water ‘Scheurebe / Malbec’ Rose 2020, Waipara NZ
The palest pink I’ve ever seen in a rosé – made from Scheurebe & Malbec grapes grown in Waipara, North Canterbury – a most unusual yet really interesting blend of grape varieties. The nose is very fragrant with herbal, salty, smokey, pear & spice notes. There’s a nice viscosity on the palate with sweet stone fruit & spice, a fresh acidity, gentle tannins, chalky textures with a dry, long finish. A very “Provencale style” rosé from right here in North Canterbury NZ. Excellent value too at RRP:$25.00

Church Road ‘Gwen’ Merlot Rosé 2020, Hawke’s Bay NZ
Third in the Gwen range – Medium salmon to copper coloured with a lighter viscosity. Fragrant aromas of strawberry & raspberry in the nose with a hint of savoury herb & floral notes, The palate all about the berries, juicy, crisp & dry, with a lovely acid backbone, layers of texture & mouthfeel from several months on lees. A delectable & elegant rose for summertime sips. Fantastic value at RRP:$25.00

Redmetal Vineyards Cabernet Franc Rosé 2021, Hawke’s Bay NZ
Pretty salmon to watermelon pink coloured wine, nice legs! The nose is fresh and fragrant with red berry fruit aromas, a whiff of confection & a hint of mixed herbs. The palate has sweet red berry flavours at first some savoury notes but then a tight acidity / texture / tannins come through with nice dry grip. It’s textured & full flavoured with a good whack of alcohol & a long dry finish – summer rose to be enjoyed with a Mediterranean themed platter me thinks! Delish! RRP:$25.00

Astrolabe Comelybank Vineyard – Waihopai Pinot Noir / Pinot Gris Rosé 2021 Marlborough NZ
Very pretty medium salmon pink in colour, medium bodied wine. The nose is soft & elegant with jammy summer berries, pear & spice aromas. The palate opens with lovely red fruits, raspberry, strawberry flavours, juicy with a zesty citrusy acidity then lots of layers, structure, texture, complexity – dry intense finish with some residual fruit sweetness – Gorgeous! RRP:$32.00

Astrolabe Marlborough Pinot Noir / Pinot Gris Rosé 2021 Marlborough NZ
Clear bright pale watermelon pink in colour lighter bodied – the nose is quite aromatic with strawberry, cherry & pear aromas & a fragrant floral note. The palate is tight & balanced with a crisp acidity delivering concentrated peach, cherry & red berry flavours & a little spice. Nicely textured & finishes long, dry & delicious. RRP:$28.00

Rockburn ‘Stolen Kiss’ Pinot Noir Rosé 2021, Central Otago NZ
“It started with a kiss!” Medium pale salmon pink in colour, bright and clear. Spice & smoker-lolly / candy aromas fill the nose while on the palate it’s all sweet strawberries & toffee apples flavours – creamy mouthfeel with a medium acidity backbone balanced with 14gms/l rs. A delicious, succulent change from the usually bone dry Roses. Gorgeous! RRP:$30.00

te Pa Wines Rosé Pinot Noir 2021, Marlborough NZ
A pretty soft pink colour with salmon hues. The nose is lovely & fragrant with ‘strawberries & cream’ aromas & some gentle spice notes. On the palate there’s some really juicy berry fruit flavours along with a fresh crisp acidity & chalky textural elements. Well balanced & rounded, finishing dry, crisp & very drinkable indeed! A nice antipasti platter and this – perfect! RRP:$19.00

Takatu Merlot Cabernet Franc Rosé 2020, Matakana NZ
Pale watermelon pink in colour to the rim, medium bodied. Aromas of plums, raspberry, dried herbs & pepper in the nose – A palate of bright red fruit flavours with a mineral drive, powdery tannins, juicy acidity nicely textured with a portion being fermented in Frenck oak. A lovely savoury finish. Spring is for Rose! Enjoy this now, or in Summer! RRP:$25.00

Stad_Ko Arapai Vineyard Pinot Rose 2020 Martinborough NZ.
Clean & bright medium salmon pink coloured with copper hues. Lovely fresh nose of red summer berry fruit aromas and a hint of spice while the palate is bright & refreshing with tart raspberry flavours, crispy acidity some very fine tannins & a dry medium finish. “Made from the biggest bunches from around the vineyard 75% stainless steel & 25% barrel fermented, then cold settled & bottled without fining.” Spring evening with a platter of yummy things and this – yes! RRP:$29.00
