PURE POURS Wine Festival Returns to Australia This October, Bringing 22 Central Otago Wineries Across the Tasman 11 September 2026
Following sold-out events across Australia in 2025, PURE POURS: Central Otago Wine Festival is returning this October, bringing an expanded line-up of 22 Central Otago wineries touring Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
Each city will host a roaming tasting festival where guests can sip, swirl and compare wines from across the region – from bright aromatic whites and textured Chardonnays to méthode traditionnelle sparkling wines and the bold, perfumed Pinot Noirs Central Otago is best known for.
“Bringing our wines to Australia gives us the chance to connect directly with wine lovers and share what makes Central Otago such a unique place to grow grapes and make wine,” says Carolyn Murray, General Manager of the Central Otago Winegrowers Association. “After the response to our 2025 events, we’re excited to return with even more wineries, offering more for the Australian public to discover.”

PURE POURS brings the region’s winemakers and winery teams together under one roof – a rare chance for Australian wine lovers to meet the people behind the labels and taste their wines side by side.
The line-up spans established family vineyards, pioneering producers and newer voices shaping the region’s future, reflecting the diversity of Central Otago wine.
With 90+ wines on pour, it’s about as close as you can get to experiencing Central Otago without boarding a plane.
