The Court of Master Sommeliers was established in 1977 to promote excellence in hotel and restaurant beverage services. The intensive education and examination programme guides aspiring Master Sommeliers through four increasingly rigorous coursework and examinations, culminating in the highly prestigious Master Sommelier Diploma Examination.
Franck Moreau MS (Chair, Court of Master Sommeliers Oceania) says, “We’re thrilled to return to Auckland, New Zealand this September to offer our formal certification program for sommeliers and hospitality professionals. We would warmly encourage individuals currently employed within Auckland’s hospitality industry to come along to our 3-hour workshop and tasting on June 18, where they can participate in a blind tasting and workshop led by New Zealand Master Sommelier Cameron Douglas and Advanced Sommelier Andrea Martinisi. This workshop is a wonderful opportunity to participate in a blind tasting under the guidance of a Master Sommelier, without committing to the full 3-day Introductory Sommelier Certificate program.”
