Wild Stock Festival Comes to Auckland

Wild Stock, New Zealand’s only festival celebrating sour beer and natural wine is going to be hosted for the first time in over two years and is coming to Auckland on Saturday 21 May!

Wild Stock Auckland

Wild Stock is a longstanding collaboration between specialist beer retailer Beer Jerk and specialist wine retailer Cult Wine and will be taking over Beer Jerks flagship outlet The Fridge and Flagon at 2 Shaddock Street, Eden Terrace from midday until 9pm and is a pop-up festival meaning that guests only pay for what they consume. Wild Stock is going to be showcasing over 48 different wild-fermented and experimental wines, beers and ciders from New Zealand and around the world.

Organizer and Wine Director of Cult Wine Jules van Costello says, “this is our fourth Wild Stock, and our first since early 2020; we’ve always found that there is a huge crossover between those of us who love natural wine and sour beer, unlike most festivals which tend to focus on one or the other, Wild Stock allows wine and beer lovers to try both in a fun, relaxed and engaging environment.”

Wild Stock will feature wines from…

Millton Vineyard – Gisborne
Testalonga – South Africa
Pheasants Tears – Georgia
Halcyon Days – Hawkes Bay
Known Unknown and West Cider – Taranaki
Ricca Terra – Australia and many more…

And beers from…

Craftwork – Oamaru
8 Wired – MatakanaSmall Gods – Auckland
Garage Project – Wellington
North End – Kapiti
Duncans – Kapiti and many more…
